LUXURY COLLECTION FLORENCE

For the former Westin Excelsior Florence, now reintroduced as part of the Luxury Collection, Double Decker was invited to curate and style the hotel’s interiors, including its intellectual heart, the Library as well as the Donatello Bar and Cosimo Rooftop Restaurant. Conceived as a series of contemporary cabinets of curiosities, the spaces bring together over 400 hand-selected elements, from rare vintage artefacts and historic volumes to works by local painters and sculptors. Drawing on Florence’s traditions of scholarship, craftsmanship, hospitality, and collecting, each setting unfolds as part of a rich, evolving narrative. Throughout this historic palazzo, guests encounter spaces where past and present meet in ways that feel intimate, distinctive, and unmistakably Florentine.
