LUXURY COLLECTION FLORENCE

For the former Westin Excelsior Florence, now reintroduced as part of the Luxury Collection, Double Decker was invited to curate and style the hotel’s intellectual heart: The library. Conceived as a contemporary cabinet of curiosities, the space is layered with over 400 hand-selected elements ranging from rare vintage artefacts and sculptural objects to contemporary publications and historic volumes. Drawing on Florence’s long tradition of scholarship, craftsmanship, and collecting, the shelves unfold as a quiet, evolving narrative. Guests are invited to linger, read, and reflect within this historic palazzo, where past and present meet in a setting that feels both intimate and unmistakably Florentine.
